Dear Customer

We as fireplace fitters will try our utmost to be clean and tidy so that you are satisfied with the results of the works carried out

BUT PLEASE REMEMEBER

 

  1. Fireplace fitting is a dirty, dusty job. Please clear your room as much as possible. We have dust sheets but you may want to cover your furniture and electrical equipment
  2. Wallpaper around your chimney breast area will almost certainly be damaged so please do not decorate before fitting is completed
  3. We will remove the skirting board if necessary to fit the fireplace but we are not responsible for re-fitting or replacing it
  4. Old fireplaces will be removed along with all necessary brickwork. We can arrange for the rubble to be removed at an additional cost and this work will be carried out by a professional rubble removal company
  5. The removal and draining of back boilers will be an extra charge
  6. Making good the wall will be included in the basic fitting price. If a larger area is required you will be charged extra or recommended to a professional plasterer.
  7. Gas pipes will be hidden wherever possible. Any piping over 1 metre away from the fireplace will be charged for at an agreed rate before the work starts
  8. We may have to remove a cowl if it is not compatible with the fire we are fitting. A new cowl will be an extra unless other wise quoted for beforehand and will be fitted weather permitting
  9. Statutory safety checks will be done before and after completion of the fireplace. If by any chance your chimney fails these tests the fire cannot be connected until remedial work has been completed
  10. Please let us know if you require your new fireplace to fit to your carpet or wooden flooring as it may require a specially measured hearth to meet your needs
  11. We do not cut carpets but can recommend a professional carpet fitter who will fit your carpet around your new fireplace for a small fee that you pay directly to the carpet fitter
  12. Once we have finished fitting your fireplace we will show you the working procedure of the appliance and tidy the work area to the best of our ability. We will expect payment on completion of this
  13. We will do our utmost to keep to the agreed fitting date but please remember vans do break down, fitters are sometimes ill and fitting jobs can can longer than anticipated
